Atomic Clock

(AP) – The time is now — for the nation’s new atomic clock. The National Institute of Standards and Technology has a new high-tech time keeper that won’t lose a second for roughly 300 million years. The clock is located at the institute’s center in Boulder, Colorado.

The clock is the nation’s civilian time standard. It’s used by everything from computer networks to banks to make sure the nation is running on the same time.
