(Hot Springs)-The first night of preliminary competition for the Miss South Dakota pageant took place in Hot Springs on Wednesday evening. Young ladies from across the state were divided into two groups, with one group performing their talent and modeling their swimsuits. The next group will do the same on Thursday evening.
Winning the preliminary talent competition Wednesday evening was Miss Eastern Plains Katie Crevier. She rode a 10’ unicycle while juggling basketballs. Winning the preliminary swimsuit competition was Miss Gold Rush Tessa Dee from Mitchell, SD.
The second night of preliminaries takes place this evening (Thursday) beginning at 7 pm at the MuellerCivicCenter in Hot Springs.
